Wayne Burt: Guitar/ Vocals

Something I’ve learned about buying Australian records is that there are some names you can look for in the credits, that will indicate a guaranteed excellent product. Hannaford, Jones, Cammileri, Cummings, Luscombe, Wilson, ... BURT.
Wayne Burt’s guitar playing and singing (and songwriting) has created atmospheres of their own, often in collaboration with other talented freaks, but sometimes his tones are just hovering a level or two above the rest - and I fucking love it.
Obviously, his role in Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons has been his greatest deposit to the ethers of Oz Rock, but his jaunts with other outfits, including Daddy Cool, The Black Sorrows, and The Giants, have to be considered great achievements also. By all accounts, Burt brought the A-game every time.
This t shirt is based on the back cover of the Fabulaires (Greg Champion) EP, “Apocalypso”, (1988?), and is from the photographic work of Leanne Temme.
